- Oct 6. Fly AA from JFK to Heathrow. Take train to Padington,
then taxi to Tavistock Hotel. Room too small, but we took it. Password BOGO got us free dinners.
- Oct 7. Visit Handel House, but the music was jazz provided by Candy Thief,
who could make his guitar sing.
- Oct 8. Morning at the
National Gallery. Concert at St Martin's in the Field.
- Oct
9. Bob to Oxford. Visited Ashmolean exhibit of the pre-Raphaelites. Most of the work displayed were drawings; only a few paintings.
Went to my favorite restaurant in Oxford--Brown's Restaurant, hoping to order a scrumptious Steak and Guinness pie, but the
waiter delivered a Shepherd pie instead.
